Eiji vs. Cloud
“Chronicle’s Eve”


Eiji was walking when Cloud approached him and started causing trouble for him. Eiji didn’t have time for Cloud’s foolish antics, but he persisted.

“Get out of my way, Cloud. I don’t have time for this right now” Eiji said politely.

Cloud just stood there, staring at Eiji. He laughed and pushed him. Cloud pushed him again but Eiji didn’t stoop down to Cloud’s level. Eiji was ignoring it mostly but it was starting to bother him.

“Do you think I’m gonna listen to you? You’re progressing slower than most of the class. C’mon now, you’ll never be a challenge to your brother. You couldn’t even beat me in a fight” Cloud said smugly.

Eiji looked at Cloud and sighed. Cloud then pushed Eiji again but instead of just being forced back, he grabbed Cloud’s arm and threw it back. Cloud’s expression changed completely afterwards.

“Now, if you’ll excuse me, I must be going. I have things to do and people to see and you’re not one of them, Cloud” Eiji said smiling.

The remark Eiji made burned Cloud up inside and he couldn’t take it. He lashed out and punched Eiji in the back of the head, knocking him to the ground. Eiji laid there for a short time before getting up. Cloud looked at him and thought he had won, but he was sadly mistaken when Eiji got up and threw a hard right hook, connecting onto Cloud’s face and cracking his jaw slightly.

“So, you do have some fighting spirit in you. Good because you’re gonna need it against me but it won’t help you much. That punch is something you’re gonna regret” Cloud smiled wiping blood from his mouth.

Eiji took his coat and bag and placed them aside so no damage would come to them. Cloud took his stance and Eiji did as well. The wind began blowing as they stared each other down. Each fighter was formulating a strategy but Eiji had the brains and brawn while Cloud had the brawn only and he wasn’t a rational thinker.

“So, are you hungry because you’re gonna be eating a lot of dirt, my friend” Cloud smirked.
“Well, I hope you’re hungry because you’re going to be eating my fist” Eiji responded.

Cloud crept closer to Eiji in hopes of getting a cheap shot in but Eiji knew what he was doing beforehand because Cloud never fought fair. Eiji ran at Cloud and threw a hard punch but miss when Cloud tripped him. Eiji stopped himself but fell to the ground when Cloud hammered him in the back. Eiji got up and grabbed his arm. Cloud tried getting it loose but Eiji had a tight grip. He threw Cloud into a wall and then, slammed his elbow into Cloud’s face, breaking his nose. Blood poured from his nose as he cried out in pain. Cloud staggered about as he held his nose. Eiji stood there in case Cloud wanted more. Cloud began crying but he only cried when he was angry. Eiji knew this fight was far from over.

“You may have broken my nose but this fight isn’t over until I say so. I have plenty of fight left in me,” Cloud said smiling deceitfully.
“You’re not going to win this fight. Just accept that and give up,” Eiji said.

Cloud just stood there and didn’t care about what Eiji said. He just wanted to win this fight and would stop at nothing to win. Eiji stood ready for the next assault. Cloud grinned, running at full speed and tried driving his knee into Eiji’s stomach, but it failed. Eiji had stopped it in the nick of time and kicked Cloud’s other leg. The look on Cloud’s face told Eiji that he wasn’t expecting that. Cloud got back up, grasped Eiji’s forehead and slammed it off of a titanium pole that had been reinforced with steel and an iron alloy. Eiji stumbled back from the heavy blow and tried regaining his sight but Cloud had already begun his assault on him.

“Prepare to feel excruciating pain like no other, Eiji” Cloud yelled.

Cloud was running at full speed once again and kicked Eiji in the ribs, spinning him around. Cloud then threw a punch but Eiji stopped his arm and threw him into a garbage dumpster. Cloud stood there as he was leaning against the dumpster. Eiji ran over and slammed the lid on top of Cloud’s head three times, each hit growing with force. Cloud fell to the ground and couldn’t get up immediately. Eiji ran over and punched him in the head. Cloud remained on the ground, but grabbed Eiji’s foot and pulled him down. Eiji wasn’t letting up as easy as Cloud had thought. Eiji kicked his arm with excessive force causing Cloud to loosen his hold. Standing back, Eiji waited for Cloud to rise to his feet and begin attacking again. Cloud ran at Eiji and jumped in the air. Cloud connected with a heavy dropkick, knocking the wind out of Eiji and leaving him vulnerable for several seconds. Cloud lifted his foot but Eiji rolled out of the way and rose up.

“Sorry Cloud, but I have to win. You don’t stand a chance against me. Thanks for the warm-up but now; I’m ready to really fight you” Eiji said panting.

With that said, Eiji started his assault on Cloud. Laying relentless blows on Cloud, Eiji grabbed him by the arm and flipped him over his back. Eiji then picked Cloud up and let him stand there. Cloud was dizzy from the multiple blows and couldn’t see straight for the life of him. Eiji ran up and hit Cloud with a rising uppercut then a rainbow kick. Cloud fell to the ground but was laughing after Eiji settled down.

“What’s so funny? I think I missed something here. Are you laughing at the fact that I’m going to win?” Eiji asked.
“I’m laughing because I’m gonna kill you. Prepare to die, Eiji” Cloud yelled.

Cloud got up and threw a haymaker, missing completely. Eiji dodged it and kicked Cloud in the stomach. Cloud’s eyes widened as the blow landed. He fell to the ground, gasping for air. He coughed up blood and choked on saliva. Eiji wiped his face and saw that he was bleeding but at a very little rate. Cloud stood up and placed his hands on his head and began screaming. Eiji began to worry as Cloud let out a horrific shriek. The wind began blowing heavily and the sky turned gray. Cloud began glowing with a blue aura surrounding him. Eiji ran to attack but a force field was in place. Cloud stood there, laughing like maniacal serial killer. Eiji was ready to finish this fight. Eiji began glowing with a green aura surrounding him and he felt power like he had never felt before. This was new to Eiji and he liked it.

“What!? You can do that, too!?” Cloud said.
“I guess it’s time to finish this then. I’m tired of playing games. LET’S GO!” Eiji yelled.

Eiji and Cloud ran at each other and clashed hard but neither of them gave in. They stared into each other’s eyes as sparks flew from their bodies. Eiji locked hands with Cloud and they began throwing each other into walls of the alleyway. Just then, both powers had faded away. When this happened, Eiji lifted Cloud up and threw him into two garbage cans. Cloud got up and was completely dizzy as he stood there, staggering around. Eiji was consumed by rage and went on a full scale attack. He threw a right hook, a left hook, two jabs, haymaker, and a spinning jump kick. Cloud fell to the ground but got back up with the little strength he had left and threw a punch lazily and missed. Eiji finished Cloud off with a running uppercut, sending Cloud flying through a window of a restaurant. Eiji stood there and sighed as a sign of relief. The fight was finally over. He had won and felt good about it. He had finally beaten Cloud. Eiji walked over and retrieved his coat and bag. He put his coat on and placed his bag on his back. As he walked away from the alleyway, he left Cloud there to rest after the beating he took.
